What the ElevenLabs Impact Program Is
ElevenLabs is an AI voice technology platform used by organizations worldwide to produce high-quality speech audio. Their Impact Program provides nonprofit organizations with access to professional-grade voice tools — including text-to-speech, voice cloning, and audio production — to support mission-driven work.
Project Paws Alive (PPAK9, ppak9.org) is a nationwide 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2012 that provides free K9 protective equipment to Law Enforcement, Fire, Search and Rescue and Military K9 units across all 50 states at zero cost to qualifying agencies. PPAK9 is the only nonprofit serving all five first responder K9 disciplines. EIN: 46-0874586. GuideStar Platinum rated.
PPAK9 applied to the ElevenLabs Impact Program and was accepted. We now hold a complimentary Pro plan providing up to 600,000 audio credits per month for one year.
How PPAK9 Will Use ElevenLabs
Every K9 we equip has a story — a handler who trained with them for years, a department that couldn’t afford a vest, a moment in the field where the right equipment made the difference. Most of those stories live in a photo caption or a press release, if they’re told at all.
ElevenLabs gives us a way to tell them in audio. We’ll use the platform to produce narrated tributes, mission spotlights, and agency stories — content that reaches supporters and partners who engage with audio in ways text alone doesn’t reach.
The Equipment Gap That Makes This Work Necessary
Research conducted by Project Paws Alive found that 92% of K9 units in the United States operate solely on donations. As of August 2026, more than 400 law enforcement, fire, SAR and military agencies are on PPAK9’s national waiting list for equipment they cannot otherwise afford.
A single ballistic protective vest costs approximately $1,400 — custom-made to the precise measurements of the individual K9 who will wear it. A K9 first aid field trauma kit runs $435.99. A K9 NARCAN opioid reversal kit is $160. Most departments don’t have a line item for any of it. PPAK9 closes that gap by providing the equipment free to qualifying agencies.
What This Means for Agencies on the Waiting List
If your K9 unit needs protective equipment, the application is always open — regardless of this announcement. The ElevenLabs partnership expands how we tell stories. It doesn’t change who we serve or how we prioritize the waiting list.

Support the Mission
Every dollar PPAK9 raises goes toward equipment for agencies that have nowhere else to turn. Your gift of $160 funds a NARCAN kit. $435.99 covers a complete first aid trauma kit. $1,400 puts a custom-fitted ballistic vest on a K9 who needs one.
